Growth. What a full four seasons it's been. The new year is here and everything is changing again. For the better I think. My God, how the Genitals have all grown up. Lisa moved to a new place, went back to skool, quit coffee, and made huge leaps in the area of jobs and finance. Jeff Jones has a sweet new honey, a new old car and has nearly doubled his hourly wage as a self employed jack of all trades. Juli made the big leap to Duarte with her boy. She is the last one at the sex shop and has climbed the ladder to become the new Marketing Director at JT's. For me it's been like this: A new house. Two funerals. CD releases. Wild encounters. Old jobs. Fresh skools. Band politik. Sweet reconciliations. New love.

The band is wiser. Less innocent. Deeper. Tougher. And so profound. I've been likening our transformation with The Beatles shift from fun loving mop tops to long haired adults seeking growth and maturity. Just too friggin cool.

So what's next for 2006? For starters you can expect a new record. A better record. The unrecorded classics we know and love. The shows will be bigger and smaller but somehow no less intimate. Count on a new level of musicianship. And for those who sensed a modest unraveling or perhaps a flicker in the flame, let it be known that we've grown though our second year baby threads with grace and are stronger for it.
