Bejeezus it's a whirlwind February! Shows shows and more shows. The Genitals have a couple of new hit songs and more heartbreaking ballads than we can keep up with. Crockett has been sick for weeks yet she trudges on, hitting the stage and then leaving the party early to go and nurse her wounds. As soon as she gets up to speed, we plan to expand on our LP by adding the new crowd favorite "Work Song" and a big hotshot version of "Que Queg" that's been incubating for months! Juli and I agree that the record feels a little incomplete and I am eager to see these new additions round out the overall sound of the record.

I'm also very excited because I'm soooooo close to releasing a very nice EP of my own and ultimately follow it up with a full length offering. I've scheduled a day over at Signet Sound Studios with the young upstart Jeremy Underwood at the helm to record some drums and bass parts for a trio of songs I've been sitting on. Really good stuff. Soon I'll set up a MySpace outlet for public consumption. I'll tell ya, I've got a really good feeling about March...
